Here are the 10 top smallcap gainers that have recorded the sharpest gains since the beginning of April.

HFCL shares have soared 116% so far this financial year. After hitting a fresh 52-week low of Rs 59.82 apiece on the NSE at the end of January, the stock skyrocketed nearly 147% in about 16 weeks to reach a fresh 52-week high of Rs 107.10 on Thursday. In a recent report, Geojit Investments maintained a ‘Buy’ rating on HFCL with a target price of Rs 150 per share. “The long-term outlook for HFCL remains favourable, supported by a structural upcycle in fibre demand (AI data centres, 5G densification), rising export contribution, margin expansion toward ~18–20% EBITDA, and balance-sheet strengthening post QIP and promoter infusion,” Geojit Investments noted.

Cemindia Projects shares have gained more than 90% since April. The stock rose 17% in one week and 58% in one month. Over the longer term, the company’s shares have surged 648% in three years and a whopping 1,175% in five years. The construction and civil engineering contracting services provider has a market capitalisation of Rs 16,409 crore.

Embassy Developments shares have gained over 76% since April. The sharp surge in the stock price intensified after the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) set aside an earlier order admitting the company to the corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP). The company was formerly known as Indiabulls Real Estate.

Cohance Lifesciences shares have gained 61% since April this year. At the end of April, the company announced the appointment of former Cipla CEO Umang Vohra as Executive Chairman and Group CEO. However, the stock has fallen 7% so far in 2026 and more than 54% over the past one year.

Welspun Corp shares have surged nearly 60% since April this year. The company’s shares have gained 71% over the past year. Over the longer term, the stock has rallied around 452% in three years and 788% in five years.

Schneider Electric Infrastructure shares have also gained around 60% since April this year. The stock hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,370 apiece on May 6. Overall, the company’s shares have surged more than 88% so far in 2026 and 142% over the past year. In the longer term, the stock has rallied 659% in three years and a whopping 1,316% in five years.

Shares of Elecon Engineering Company have jumped 59% since April this year after hitting a fresh 52-week low of Rs 352 apiece on March 30. However, the stock is down around 9% over the past year, though it has surged nearly 151% in three years and a whopping 1,132% in five years.

Gallantt Ispat shares have jumped 58% since April this year. The company reported a 9% year-on-year increase in both steel production and sales for the March quarter, with production at 0.24 million tonnes and sales at 0.23 million tonnes. The company’s shares have surged 103% over the past year and a whopping 1,555% in three years.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers shares have also shown a significant gain, rising 57% since April this year. The company, which is a leading shipyard in India, has been benefiting from increased orders and government support for indigenous shipbuilding. The stock has gained 45% over the past year and a remarkable 625% in five years.
