Bengaluru Real Estate: PES Acquires Prime Properties for ₹110 Crore in Sadashiva Nagar
People's Education Society (PES), the organization behind PES University, has made significant real estate investments in Bengaluru by acquiring two independent properties in the upscale Sadashiva Nagar area for a total of ₹110 crore, according to property registration documents accessed by Zapkey.com.
The first transaction, registered on April 1, 2025, involves the purchase of a vacant residential plot measuring 9,840 sq ft on 2nd Main Road, Sadashiva Nagar. This property was acquired from Woodkraft (India) Pvt Ltd for ₹55.5 crore. The acquisition of this prime land parcel reflects PES's strategic move to expand its physical infrastructure in a high-demand area of Bengaluru.
The second transaction, dated January 22, 2025, shows PES purchasing another independent house, also on 2nd Main Road, from BPL Limited for ₹54.1 crore. This property comprises a 9,840 sq ft land parcel with a built-up area of 5,575 sq ft. Both properties are situated in Sadashiva Nagar, a locality known for its upscale residential character and proximity to central Bengaluru.
Sadashivanagar, a prime locality in Bengaluru, has been witnessing significant interest from educational and institutional buyers due to its prime location and large plot sizes, as noted by property consultants. The area is well-connected and offers a serene environment, making it an attractive choice for institutions like PES University, which continues to invest in physical infrastructure and strategic expansion in Bengaluru.
PES University, established in 1965, offers diverse programs in engineering, management, design, and life sciences. The university currently operates three campuses in Bengaluru, including Ring Road, Hanumanth Nagar, and Electronic City. These recent acquisitions are expected to further enhance PES University's offerings and expand its footprint in the city.
Meanwhile, an email query has been sent to PES University for further details on these acquisitions. If a response is received, the story will be updated. Woodkraft India and BPL Limited could not be reached for comment.
These acquisitions by PES are part of a broader trend of significant real estate investments in Bengaluru. For instance, in a recent land deal, Narayana Hrudayalaya Limited acquired prime land parcels worth ₹246 crore along Bannerghatta Main Road in Bengaluru in three separate transactions in February 2025. These deals involved over 46,000 sq ft of land in the Hulimavu locality, all purchased from members of the same family, highlighting the ongoing interest in strategic real estate investments in the city.
The strategic expansion of PES University in Sadashiva Nagar underscores the growing importance of prime real estate in Bengaluru, especially for educational institutions. As the city continues to develop, such investments are likely to become more common, driving further growth and development in the real estate sector.
