Bollywood Star Sushmita Sen’s Mother Acquires Two Luxury Flats in Mumbai’s Goregaon East
Bollywood star Sushmita Sen's mother, Subhra Sen, has made a significant real estate investment by purchasing two luxury apartments in Goregaon East. The transactions, registered in November 2025, are for units in Elysian, a premium residential project developed by Oberoi Realty, according to property documents reviewed by Square Yards Data Intelligence.
According to records from the inspector-general of registration, the first apartment was bought for Rs 8.40 crore. It features a RERA (Real Estate Regulation and Development Act) carpet area of 163.59 sq m (1,760 sq ft) and includes one parking slot. The deal attracted a stamp duty of Rs 42.02 lakh and registration fees of Rs 30,000.
The second apartment, identical in size and also with one parking space, was purchased for Rs 8.49 crore. The stamp duty for this transaction was Rs 42.49 lakh, and the registration fee was Rs 30,000.
Data from Square Yards indicates that Elysian has so far recorded 172 sale registrations with a cumulative value of Rs 1,715 crore, placing the average price in the project at Rs 47,641 per sq ft.
Goregaon East has emerged as a strong residential micro-market due to its connectivity via the Western Express Highway, Jogeshwari–Vikhroli Link Road, and the suburban railway network. Proximity to business districts such as Andheri, Powai, and Bandra Kurla Complex, along with upcoming infrastructure projects like the Goregaon–Mulund Link Road and expanding metro lines, continues to draw homebuyers to the area.
Subhra Sen, a renowned jewellery designer, is known for her artistic craftsmanship and has often been credited by Sushmita Sen for playing a formative role in shaping her values and outlook. Her investment in Elysian underscores the growing appeal of Goregaon East as a premier residential destination in Mumbai.
