Credai Pune Teams Up with Singapore for Sustainable Real Estate Development
Pune: The city chapter of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (Credai) has joined hands with a subsidiary of the Singapore-based Building and Construction Authority (BCA). The collaboration aims to develop sustainable, innovative, and high-quality building practices in India's real estate and construction sector.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Wednesday in Singapore. The signing ceremony was attended by BCA International's (BCAI) executive director Heng Teck Thai and Credai Pune president Manish Jain. BCAI is dedicated to promoting overseas collaborations by sharing expertise in sustainability, productivity, construction quality, and advanced technologies.
As per the latest MoU, BCAI will facilitate Green Mark certifications for Credai members, promoting super low energy buildings (SLEB). It will also deliver customized training programs, site visits, and best practice exchanges focused on green building standards, construction quality, and advanced construction techniques. This collaboration will further enable Singapore-based firms to partner with Credai members on sustainable, innovative, and smart building solutions in India.
The partnership will support the development of a center of excellence promoting cutting-edge construction technologies. Commenting on the development, Jain said, 'This collaboration marks a significant step towards Credai Pune's vision of promoting sustainability, innovation, and global best practices in construction. Partnering with BCAI will help our members adopt international benchmarks and move closer to India's Net Zero commitments.'
The real estate sector in India is rapidly growing, and the need for sustainable and efficient buildings is more critical than ever. This partnership between Credai Pune and BCAI is expected to set new standards in the industry and pave the way for a greener and more sustainable future.
