Dasoju Sravan Criticizes Congress Govt for Turning Miss World 2025 into Real Estate Expo
Dasoju Sravan, a BRS MLC, has harshly criticized the Congress-led government for reducing the prestigious Miss World 2025 event in Hyderabad to a platform for local real estate promotions. He described the government’s actions as a shameful insult to Telangana, turning a global event into a glorified real estate expo.
“Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad: Where beauty meets brokerage, and crowns meet local condos. Telangana’s gateway to the world now comes with built-up areas, car parking, and clubhouse amenities,” he said.
Taking a jab at the event’s execution, Sravan remarked that while the world tuned in expecting elegance, prestige, and international flair, they got Honer Homes and Hyderabad plots stealing the spotlight. He noted that instead of global sponsors and international media, local ventures received prime-time visibility in local media.
He sarcastically praised the Chief Minister for turning “catwalks into catalogues” and “sashes into site visits.” “Truly, a visionary move by our Real Estate Chief Minister in international branding and attracting global investments,” he added. He stated that the event lacked international coverage or meaningful branding for Telangana, instead serving as a marketing platform for local builders.
The criticism highlights the broader issue of the government’s priorities and how they are perceived both locally and internationally. Sravan’s comments have sparked a debate about the importance of maintaining the integrity of international events and the potential long-term impacts of such decisions on Telangana’s reputation.
