DDA to Open Registrations for Tallest Building in Delhi: Towering Heights
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced that it will open registrations for flats in its 48-storey under-construction residential project, ‘DDA Towering Heights’, located at the East Delhi Hub in Karkardooma. The registration period will run from October 31 to November 21, 2023.
This will be the tallest building in the Capital so far, standing at 155 meters with 48 storeys. The housing scheme is part of Delhi’s first Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) project and has been approved by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
The East Delhi Hub project spans 30 hectares and is being developed as a mixed-use urban center integrating residential, commercial, and civic spaces within a walkable environment. Under Phase I, DDA will offer 1,026 premium two-bedroom flats through an online registration and e-auction process. The base price of the flats ranges from Rs 1.78 crore to Rs 3.09 crore, with sizes varying between 142 and 250 square meters.
Facilities will include a 20,000 square meter central green area, jogging track, open-air gym, cricket field, badminton courts, and landscaped open spaces, according to a DDA spokesperson. Brochures for purchasing flats will be available from October 25 on the DDA website. Registration and earnest money deposit submissions will be open from October 31 to November 21, with a final submission deadline of November 24. E-auctions will be conducted from December 1 to 4.
DDA has stated that successful bidders will have to deposit 75% of the cost at the time of auction, with the remaining due by July 2026, when possession is expected. The project’s foundation stone was laid by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in December 2019. However, it faced delays due to pending forest clearances and water and sewerage approvals.
The DDA Towering Heights project is a significant step towards the development of a modern, integrated urban center in East Delhi. It aims to provide a high-quality living environment with a focus on sustainability and community well-being.
