Dhoom Actress Rimi Sen Finds New Success as a Real Estate Agent in Dubai
Actress Rimi Sen, who became a household name in the early 2000s with performances in films like Hungama, Dhoom, and Golmaal, has transitioned to a new career as a real estate agent in Dubai. After stepping away from the film industry some years ago, Sen is making headlines for her successful transition into the real estate market.
Rimi Sen has been candid about her journey and the reasons behind her decision to leave the film industry. In a recent interview with Buildcaps Real Estate LLC, she shared her experiences and the welcoming environment she has found in Dubai. She said, “Dubai is very welcoming, which is why 95% of the population here consists of expatriates, while the rest are Emiratis. Dubai has welcomed everyone warmly. There are mosques here, and there are temples too. They think about everyone, and the city's major focus is on how to make people's lives better, easier, and more comfortable.”
Rimi highlighted the stark contrast between the real estate market in Dubai and India. She noted, “The real estate market here functions smoothly because there is discipline. You have to work only with agents and agencies. Developers do their work, agencies do their part, and there is a proper system in place.” This structured approach is a significant departure from the often chaotic and bureaucratic real estate sector in India, where policies can change overnight, making it difficult for businesses and individuals alike.
Addressing the perception of real estate agents, Rimi revealed that in Dubai, agents are treated on par with financial consultants. “In India, if you ask for two months' brokerage, people look at you as if you have committed a crime,” she shared. This difference in treatment has made her career transition smoother and more rewarding.
Rimi's journey has not been without its challenges. After quitting showbiz, she became a topic of discussion on social media due to her unrecognizable looks in Instagram pictures. The internet speculated that she had undergone plastic surgery. However, Rimi clarified that she has only had fillers, Botox, and PRP treatment done. She told Hindustan Times, “If people feel that I have had plastic surgery, and if they feel that in a good way, then it's very good for me. Without even getting plastic surgery done, people are still talking.”
Reacting to trolls, Rimi added, “Maybe people saw my latest pictures and felt that my skin looked good. Anyone can look good by using these treatments and maintaining discipline. But if you think what I have done is bad, then tell me how I can correct it, so I can tell my doctors where they are going wrong.”
Despite the initial buzz and speculation, Rimi has found a fulfilling and successful career in Dubai. Her transition from a Bollywood actress to a real estate agent highlights her adaptability and resilience. Dubai's welcoming environment and well-structured real estate market have played a significant role in her new chapter.
