Goutham Reddy Mereddy Elected as CII Telangana Chairman for 2026-27
Mr. Goutham Reddy Mereddy, Vice Chairman of Re Sustainability Ltd. (formerly Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd.), has been elected as the Chairman of CII Telangana for the year 2026-27. Mr. Reddy brings a wealth of experience spanning 27 years in environmental services, waste management, real estate, and infrastructure development.
Initially, Mr. Reddy worked as an environmental scientist at the Environment Protection Training and Research Institute (EPTRI), a state government society. During his tenure at EPTRI, he focused on research and consulting in various areas of environmental improvement, with a specific emphasis on industrial hazardous waste and municipal solid wastes. Subsequently, Mr. Reddy joined Ramky Enviro Engineers Limited, which was later renamed Re Sustainability Limited.
At Re Sustainability, Mr. Reddy played a crucial role in growing the organization into India’s largest environmental and waste management company and one of Asia’s largest waste management firms. The company operates over 85 facilities across 23 states in India and in around 10 countries worldwide. Under his leadership, Re Sustainability handles over 7 million tonnes of waste annually. Mr. Reddy has been instrumental in making the company a pioneer and leader in bio-medical waste management, hazardous waste management, municipal solid wastes, construction and demolition wastes, and various recycling and environmental services. Notably, he established some of the largest integrated waste-to-energy plants, converting over a million tonnes of waste into approximately 100 MWH of power.
In addition to his environmental and waste management expertise, Mr. Reddy has significant experience in infrastructure and real estate development. His leadership philosophy is rooted in trust, transparency, and empowerment, fostering a culture where people take ownership and perform at their best. He is a strong advocate of sustainability, integrating responsible business practices with operational excellence and continuous improvement.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is a non-government, not-for-profit, industry-led, and industry-managed organization that works to accelerate India’s development. It serves as a platform for the industry and government to engage in dialogue and address issues of mutual concern. As the Chairman of CII Telangana, Mr. Reddy will play a pivotal role in promoting sustainable development, economic growth, and corporate social responsibility in the region.
