Gujarat RERA Mandates Detailed Project Boards at Construction Sites
The Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has introduced a new order effective November 28, mandating all construction sites to display detailed boards informing people about the projects underway. This move aims to improve transparency and make real estate information easily accessible to prospective buyers.
These detailed boards must include the RERA registration number, construction details, project specifications, amenity details, RERA collection bank account, and project loan information. Previously, only the RERA registration numbers were displayed on these boards, and buyers had to visit the authority’s website for additional information. The new order addresses this issue by requiring all relevant details to be prominently displayed.
Under the new guidelines, builders are required to install these detailed boards, banners, hoardings, or digital displays at the entrance of the project. The display must be two meters in length and 1.2 meters in width, placed at a height of 1.5 to 2 meters. The boards must be made of waterproof material and have a background color of white or yellow. The lettering must be at least 2.5 centimeters in size, and the QR code on the board must measure 15 by 15 centimeters.
The Indian Express attempted to reach out to RERA Special Secretary AJ Desai for further comments, but he was unavailable. This new order is a significant step towards enhancing transparency and trust in the real estate sector, making it easier for potential buyers to make informed decisions.
The implementation of this order is expected to benefit both buyers and builders by ensuring that all necessary information is readily available at the construction site. This move aligns with the broader goals of RERA to regulate the real estate market and protect the interests of homebuyers.
