Gurgaon Road Boost: 10.6-Acre Acquisition Aids New Gurgaon Flats
By GeoSquare News Desk · Published 2026-10-06
In a move that will improve road connectivity in Gurgaon's fast-growing New Gurgaon belt, the Haryana government has issued a Section 4(1) notification to acquire 10.61 acres of land. The acquisition will make way for 24-metre-wide sector roads in Sectors 81–86 and Sector 104 along the Dwarka Expressway.
What the land acquisition means
The Department of Urban Estates, Haryana, will use the acquired land to build internal sector roads that have been pending for several residential projects. Better road access is expected to ease commuting to the Dwarka Expressway and reduce congestion inside these sectors.
Impact on property in New Gurgaon
For flat owners and buyers in New Gurgaon and Sector 104, the development signals improved infrastructure. Wider roads typically enhance the appeal of residential projects, support better last-mile connectivity, and can positively influence property demand and resale value over time.
Why Maharashtra investors should watch
Maharashtra-based investors with exposure to NCR real estate, especially those holding apartments in New Gurgaon, will find this infrastructure push relevant. Improved road infrastructure is a key factor in rental demand and capital appreciation. While the acquisition is at an early stage, it reflects the ongoing infrastructure momentum around the Dwarka Expressway corridor.
