Hyderabad Realtor Shoots Wife Dead in Malkajgiri: Police Launch Investigation
A man allegedly shot his wife dead in Malkajgiri, Hyderabad on Wednesday, June 10. The tragic incident occurred within the limits of Malkajgiri Police Station, under the Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate.
Arun Kumar (45), a resident of Maruthi Nagar and a real estate businessman, reportedly opened fire at his wife, Nisha Rani (38), during a heated argument. Arun had gone to the house in the morning to discuss his differences with Nisha. The gunfire was heard by locals, who promptly informed the police. Nisha died on the spot due to the gunshot injuries.
Arun then fled the scene, possibly with the help of an accomplice. Police suspect that another person was accompanying Arun during the incident and may have assisted in the killing. The police immediately formed teams to nab the accused and his accomplice.
Nisha’s body was shifted to the mortuary of Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad for a post-mortem examination. The police registered a case and launched a thorough investigation into the incident.
The couple had been married for five years. Arun was previously married to Nisha’s elder sister, Swarnalatha, and has two children from that marriage. After divorcing Swarnalatha, he married her younger sister, Nisha Rani.
Arun Kumar was reportedly caught with a weapon in the Amberpet area during a vehicle check by police three months ago. This prior incident has raised suspicions that he might have procured another weapon through a friend. The police are now focused on tracking down Arun and his possible accomplice to bring them to justice.
The community in Malkajgiri is in shock following the tragic event, and local authorities are working to ensure the safety and security of the residents. The police have urged anyone with information about the whereabouts of Arun Kumar or his accomplice to come forward and assist in the investigation.
