IHCL Expands Portfolio with Tree of Life Resort in Panheli, Maharashtra
The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality firm, has announced the signing of a new Tree of Life resort in Panheli, Raigad, Maharashtra, marking a conversion project under its portfolio expansion.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “Panheli is emerging as a preferred leisure destination for travellers from Mumbai and Pune. Its natural charm makes it ideal for short getaways, aligning with our strategy to grow in drivable destinations. We’re pleased to collaborate with Mr. Prabhat Jha for this project.”
Set amid the Sahyadri hills, the Tree of Life AeroVillage Panheli features a private airstrip allowing guests to reach the resort via a 30-minute charter flight. It houses 28 rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant and bar, and over 5,000 sq. ft. of banquet space for intimate gatherings. The property also includes a river stream, nature trails, a 9-hole golf course, a 20-seater theatre, and multi-sport facilities for cricket, football, and pickleball.
With this addition, IHCL now has 54 hotels in Maharashtra, including 27 under development.
