INDIABULLS REAL ESTATE Plunges 6%; BSE REALTY Index Down 0.7%
INDIABULLS REAL ESTATE's share price has taken a significant hit, plunging 6% to Rs 68.4. This decline is part of a broader trend affecting the real estate sector, as the BSE REALTY index has also dropped by 0.7%, currently trading at 6,831.1.
Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY index today are Sobha, down 1.5%, and PRESTIGE ESTATES, down 1.3%. On the other hand, Phoenix Mill and MAHINDRA LIFESPACE are among the top gainers, with Phoenix Mill up 0.3%.
Over the past year, INDIABULLS REAL ESTATE has seen a substantial decline, moving from Rs 133.3 to Rs 68.4, a loss of Rs 64.9, representing a 48.7% decrease. The BSE REALTY index has also experienced a downturn, dropping from 8,514.7 to 6,831.1, a 19.8% loss over the same period.
Some of the top losers among BSE REALTY index stocks over the last year include Godrej Properties, down 29.6%, Brigade Enterprises, down 29.3%, and OBEROI REALTY, down 23.0%.
Turning to the broader market, the BSE Sensex is currently at 85,120.0, down 0.2%. Among the top losers in the BSE Sensex today are M&M, down 1.3%, and Bajaj Finserv, down 0.8%. The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Eternal Ltd and Tata Steel.
The NSE Nifty is also down, currently at 25,992.4, a 0.2% decrease. ONGC and M&M are among the top losers in the NSE NIFTY.
Financially, INDIABULLS REAL ESTATE reported a net profit fall of 428.3% year-over-year to Rs -1,525 million for the quarter ended September 2025, compared to a loss of Rs 289 million a year ago. Net sales increased by 3.7% to Rs 4,931 million during the period, up from Rs 4,755 million in the same quarter of 2024.
For the year ended March 2025, INDIABULLS REAL ESTATE reported a 118.6% increase in net profit to Rs 1,936 million, compared to a net loss of Rs 10,384 million during FY24. Revenue grew by 426.8% to Rs 21,799 million during FY25.
The current Price to earnings ratio of INDIABULLS REAL ESTATE, based on rolling 12-month earnings, stands at -55.1.
Despite these challenges, the real estate sector remains a crucial part of the Indian economy, and investors are closely watching for signs of recovery or further decline.
