Indore Witnesses Rs1,200 Crore Business Surge on Dhanteras
Dhanteras once again proved to be the most prosperous shopping day of the year in Indore, as city markets recorded business worth over Rs1,200 crore, including real estate. Even intermittent rain could not dampen the festive spirit, and from morning till midnight, shoppers crowded the city’s markets, eager to make auspicious purchases believed to bring prosperity. Jewellery stores, automobile showrooms, utensil markets, and electronic outlets reported massive rushes, while streets shimmered with festive lights and decorations.
According to the Indore Automobile Dealers Association, Dhanteras brought a remarkable sales surge, making it one of the strongest days for the automobile industry. Dealers delivered 5,000 two-wheelers and 2,000 cars on Saturday, with an additional 3,000 bookings made for the following days.

Sales of refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, laptops, and kitchen appliances soared as customers took advantage of festive offers. The electronics and appliances sector recorded business worth approximately Rs100 crore.
Dhanteras also proved auspicious for property investors.
