Jay Dudhane, 'Splitsvilla 13' Winner and 'Bigg Boss Marathi 3' Runner-Up, Arrested in ₹4.61 Crore Real Estate Fraud
Actor and Reality TV personality Jay Dudhane, best known for winning 'Splitsvilla 13' and finishing as the first runner-up on 'Bigg Boss Marathi Season 3', was arrested at Mumbai Airport on Sunday, January 4, in connection with an alleged real estate fraud case.
According to a report by a news agency, Jay was taken into custody at the airport following a complaint related to a property scam. Senior Police Inspector Pravin Mane confirmed the news, stating that the arrest was made after a detailed inquiry.
Jay Dudhane is a model, fitness trainer, and actor who rose to prominence after his victory on 'Splitsvilla 13'. He later gained further popularity with his stint on 'Bigg Boss Marathi 3'. The arrest comes shortly after a major personal milestone, as Jay married Harshala Patil on December 24, 2025.
Details About The Case And Arrest
Police officials revealed that an FIR was registered based on a complaint filed by a retired engineer, who accused Jay Dudhane and four members of his family of cheating him out of ₹4.61 crore. As per the complaint, the victim was persuaded to purchase five commercial shops in Thane that were already mortgaged to a bank.
The FIR further alleges that Dudhane submitted forged documents to the complainant, including a fake bank clearance letter and a counterfeit demand draft worth ₹4.95 crore. The alleged fraud came to light after the bank issued a seizure notice for the property, prompting the victim to approach the police.
Jay Dudhane Reacts To The Allegation
Jay Dudhane and four of his family members have been booked under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for cheating and forgery. Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
Responding to the allegations in an interview with a news channel, Jay denied any wrongdoing and expressed shock over the claims. 'Honestly, I was shocked. If anyone has proof, let them present it. It’s unbelievable because the agreement has already been executed and it would be impossible for one shop to be sold to multiple people. If it’s true, then prove it.'
Jay also addressed reports about a lookout circular (LOC) issued against him, claiming he was unaware of it. 'At the airport, during immigration, I was informed that I cannot leave the country. When I realised this, I fully cooperated with the authorities and will continue to do so with all procedures,' he added.
While the police continue to probe the alleged real estate fraud, Jay maintains his innocence and has stated his willingness to cooperate fully with authorities. The case now awaits further legal scrutiny, which will determine the veracity of the allegations and the future course of action.
