NEW DELHI: Kajol Devgan, the renowned Bollywood actress, has leased out a retail unit located in Bharat Arize, Goregaon West, Mumbai, for a monthly rent starting at ₹6.9 lakh. The retail unit, which has a carpet area of 1,817 sq ft (approximately 168 sq meters) and includes one car parking, has been rented out under a well-structured lease agreement.
The deal incurred a stamp duty payment of ₹5.61 lakh and registration charges of ₹30,000. According to the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards, the transaction includes a security deposit of ₹27.61 lakh. The lease agreement was officially registered in November 2025.
Square Yards' analysis reveals that the rental agreement spans nine years, starting from November 2025. The monthly rent is set at ₹6.9 lakh for the first three years, with a 15% escalation after every successive period of three years. This means the rent will increase to ₹7.9 lakh for the next three years and to ₹9.13 lakh in the final three years of the term. Based on this structure, the total rent acquired during the lease tenure amounts to ₹8.6 crore.
As per the documents, Kajol Devgan purchased this retail unit in March 2025 for ₹28.78 crore.
