Korutla MLA Accuses CM A. Revanth Reddy of Rs 5 Lakh Crore Real Estate Scam
Korutla MLA Dr. K. Sanjay Kumar has accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's family of attempting a Rs 5 lakh crore scam by converting industrial lands into real estate properties in Hyderabad. He urged the Welfare Minister and the public to question the government on land acquisitions.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar termed the Chief Minister a real estate broker, stating that Hyderabad’s real estate sector had collapsed under Revanth Reddy's leadership. He compared the current situation to the pre-independence era, where the British looted the country, and now Congress leaders were looting the state. He quoted Mahatma Gandhi, who had advised dissolving the Congress party after independence, while addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan in Jagtial on Monday.
Dr. Kumar further alleged that the Congress party itself means ‘Scamgress’ and claimed that the State government, led by Revanth Reddy, was trying to loot 10,000 acres of land related to industries. He emphasized the responsibility of Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar to protect Telangana’s lands and urged the minister not to get distracted.
The MLA demanded that BJP leaders respond to the alleged Rs.5 lakh crore scam and appealed to the people and youth to question the government about the land issue. He argued that the public has the right to know how the government is handling such a significant amount of land and public resources.
This controversy has sparked a debate about the transparency and accountability of the government’s land acquisition policies. Critics argue that the conversion of industrial lands into real estate could have severe economic and social implications for the state, while supporters of the government claim that such developments are necessary for urban growth and economic development.
The allegations have also raised questions about the role of political leaders in the real estate sector and the potential conflicts of interest. Dr. Sanjay Kumar’s accusations have added another layer of complexity to the ongoing political discourse in Telangana, where land and development issues are often at the forefront of public discussions.
As the debate continues, the public and stakeholders will be closely watching the government’s response to these allegations and the steps they take to ensure transparency and accountability in land management.
