The properties are located in Raheja Classique, a residential project in Andheri West, one of Mumbai’s most sought-after real estate markets. The locality is known for its strong connectivity through the Western Express Highway, Link Road, suburban railway network, and Mumbai Metro, while also offering easy access to major commercial hubs such as SEEPZ, MIDC, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), and Film City.
According to the registration documents reviewed by Square Yards on the website of the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), Maharashtra, two identical apartments at Raheja Classique were sold for Rs 3.23 crore each. Each apartment has a built-up area of 60.78 square metres (654.23 sq ft) and a carpet area of 50.63 square metres (545 sq ft), along with one dedicated car parking space. Stamp duty of Rs 19.41 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000 were paid for each transaction.
The Sanon family also sold two additional apartments in the same project for Rs 1.21 crore each. Each transaction attracted stamp duty of Rs 7.29 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000.
Property records show that Geeta Sanon had purchased two of the apartments in July 2013 for a combined Rs 1.40 crore. Kriti Sanon and Nupur Sanon acquired the remaining two units in June 2017 for a combined Rs 2.90 crore. The family’s total acquisition cost stood at about Rs 4.31 crore. With the four apartments now sold for a combined Rs 8.9 crore, the investment has appreciated by around Rs 4.60 crore, translating into a gain of nearly 107% over a holding period ranging from nine to 13 years.
Kriti Sanon is among Bollywood’s leading actresses and has appeared in several commercially successful Hindi films since making her debut in 2014. Apart from acting, she has also ventured into entrepreneurship. Nupur Sanon is an actress and singer known for her work in music videos, films, and digital projects. The buyer in the transactions is Mukesh Chhabra, one of the Indian film industry’s best-known casting directors.
