L&T Secures Major Real Estate Projects Worth Rs 5,000 Crore in India

Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a leading engineering and construction major, has secured multiple real estate orders valued between Rs 2,500 to Rs 5,000 crore across Maharashtra, Telangana, and Karnataka. These projects underscore L&T's strong domain knowledge and proven expertise in delivering high-quality EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) solutions.

Under the scope of work, L&T will undertake the construction of residential projects in key cities such as Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Karnataka. For the Telangana project, L&T will design and construct 10 high-rise residential towers, comprising two basements and 55 floors, along with two clubhouses. This project in Hyderabad is a significant addition to L&T's portfolio, further solidifying its presence in the region.

The Mumbai project includes the construction of a luxury high-rise residential tower at Worli. L&T will be responsible for building the reinforced cement concrete and core structure of the tower, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This project is expected to set new benchmarks in luxury living in the city.

In Karnataka, L&T has been awarded a project that includes the construction of several residential villas, a luxury hotel, and ancillary structures. This comprehensive project will contribute to the state's growing real estate sector and enhance the region's appeal as a destination for both residents and tourists.

“The B&F business vertical of L&T possesses strong domain knowledge, proven expertise, and extensive experience in delivering EPC solutions across segments such as residential buildings, commercial spaces, hospitals, public spaces, airports, data centers, and factories,” the company stated in its exchange filing.

Just the previous day, L&T announced that its minerals and metals business had secured its largest-ever domestic order in the metals sector, valued between Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 crore. This order was awarded by JSW Steel and involves the engineering, procurement, and installation work at JSW sites in Karnataka and Odisha. The scope of work includes critical process facilities, such as blast furnaces and steel melt shops, across greenfield expansions in Ballari and Paradip.

For the March quarter, L&T's consolidated net profit fell nearly 3% year-on-year to Rs 5,325 crore against Rs 5,497 crore reported in the year-ago quarter.
