MHADA Launches First Come, First Served Scheme for Pune Housing Units
Pune, 24th April 2026: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has announced the sale of houses under the Pune Housing and Area Development Board on a first come, first served basis, moving away from the traditional lottery system.
The online booking process for the scheme will commence on May 4, 2026, at 11:30 AM through MHADA’s official website. This new approach aims to provide a more transparent and fair process for homebuyers in Pune and the surrounding areas.
According to officials, the houses are located in various parts of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, including Chikhali, Tathawade, Wakad, Lohegaon, Mundhwa, Yewalewadi, Kiwale, Fursungi, Dudulgaon, Pisoli, Balewadi, Hadapsar, and Punawale. These areas are known for their strategic locations and well-developed infrastructure, making them attractive options for homebuyers.
The scheme includes a variety of housing units, such as 1RK, 1BHK, and 2BHK flats. The prices, area, and facilities will vary depending on the specific location and project. Applicants are encouraged to thoroughly review the details of available units, pricing, and project information on the official portal before submitting their applications.
To be eligible to apply, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must either be residents of Maharashtra or have resided in the state for at least 15 out of the last 20 years. Additionally, applicants will need to provide income proof for the financial years 2024-25 and 2025-26. This can be submitted through Income Tax Returns or a Tahsildar certificate.
MHADA has emphasized the importance of accurately entering the bank account number and IFSC code while filling out the online application form. This will ensure a smooth and error-free booking process.
The information booklet for the housing scheme will be available on the same website, providing detailed guidelines and requirements for applicants. The booking website is: https://bookmyhome.mhada.gov.in/
This new scheme is expected to benefit a large number of homebuyers in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, offering them a fair and transparent opportunity to secure their dream homes.
