MMRC and Cityflo Launch Feeder Bus Services for Mumbai Metro Line 3
Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) in collaboration with Cityflo has launched dedicated feeder bus services for commuters of the newly-inaugurated Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line). The primary aim is to enhance first and last mile connectivity across key stations, ensuring a seamless travel experience for the city’s residents.
Feeder services will initially be available from three key metro stations: Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Worli, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). These services will provide direct connectivity to prominent business and residential hubs, making daily commutes more convenient.
At BKC, the route will include major landmarks such as NSE, Jio Garden, One BKC, and the Family Court. For Worli, the service will cover Century Mills, One Indiabulls Centre, Kamala Mills, and Peninsula Corporate Park. At CSMT, the route will connect to Old Custom House, Lions Gate, S.P. Mukherjee Chowk, K.C. College, and Churchgate Metro Station.
Buses will run at 10-minute intervals during peak hours, with introductory fares starting at Rs 29 per ride. A monthly pass is available at Rs 499. The service is designed for commuter convenience, featuring integrated ticketing through the Cityflo and MetroConnect3 apps.
“Metro Line 3 marks a new era in Mumbai’s public transport. To ensure seamless travel, it’s essential that commuters have reliable first and last mile options. The Cityflo feeder service extends the comfort and efficiency of the metro right to people’s doorsteps,” said R Ramana, director (planning & real estate development/NFBR), MMRC.
“We’re proud to partner with MMRC in building an integrated mobility ecosystem for Mumbai. These feeder routes are a step toward encouraging citizens to choose sustainable, shared, and tech-enabled modes of travel,” said Jerin Venad, CEO, Cityflo.
The introduction of these feeder services is expected to significantly reduce the travel time and enhance the overall commuting experience for Mumbaikars, making public transport a more attractive and viable option.
