Nashik Celebrates National Sports Day with a Series of Engaging Programs
Nashik is gearing up to celebrate National Sports Day with a variety of engaging programs from August 29 to 31, 2025. These events are being organized by the District Sports Officer Office, Nashik, under the Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra State, Pune. District Sports Officer Sunanda Patil has issued a press release, appealing to all players, coaches, sports teachers, sports representatives, and sports enthusiasts in the district to join in the celebrations.
On August 29, 2025, a special felicitation ceremony will be held at Raosaheb Thorat Hall, Gangapur Road, Nashik, at 4 pm. This event will honor international and national level medal winners, recognizing their achievements and contributions to the world of sports.
The following day, August 30, 2025, a seminar will be organized at the same venue at 10 am. The seminar will cover a range of topics related to sports, providing valuable insights for sports teachers, sports representatives, coaches, and players from Nashik district. This event aims to enhance knowledge and foster a deeper understanding of sports and its various aspects.
The celebrations will culminate on August 31, 2025, with a grand rally at 7 am. All cyclists from the district are invited to participate in this event, which will start from Anant Kanhere Maidan and follow a route through A.B.B Circle, Jahan Circle, Gangapur Road via Ashok Stambh, Trimbak Naka Signal, and finally reaching Golf Club Maidan. This rally will not only promote cycling as a sport but also encourage a healthy and active lifestyle among the participants.
