Omaxe Joins Forces with IHCL to Develop India’s First Stadium-Hotel, Aiming for ₹4,200 Crore Revenue
Real estate developer Omaxe Ltd has tied up with The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the operator of the Taj brand, to set up India’s first stadium-hotel and an exclusive members-only club at The Omaxe State in Dwarka, Delhi.
The project will include a 158-key Gateway hotel, with 40 stadium-view suites built inside a 30,000-seat international cricket-cum-football stadium, allowing guests to watch live matches from their rooms. Another 108 rooms will be located in the adjoining premium club building.
Spread across 50.4 acres, The Omaxe State is being developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Envisioned as an integrated sports, retail, hospitality, and leisure hub, the project is anchored by a stadium built to International Cricket Council (ICC) and FIFA standards.
IHCL will also manage a 250,000 sq. ft. members-only club, expected to be one of the largest in the country. The facility will offer dining and lounge spaces, Olympic-standard swimming pools, spa and wellness zones, co-working spaces, sports arenas, and banqueting facilities.
'The Omaxe State is not just a project; it is Delhi’s most ambitious destination. By partnering with IHCL, we are setting new benchmarks for hospitality, sports, and urban entertainment,' said Mohit Goel, Managing Director, Omaxe Ltd.
Strategically located near Bharat Vandana Park and Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, the project is positioned to attract international sporting events, global conferences, and exhibitions.
Slated for completion in 2027, the development is projected to generate ₹4,200 crore in lifecycle revenue and create significant employment opportunities across hospitality, retail, sports, and allied services. With a catchment population of over 30 lakh within a 10 km radius, Omaxe expects footfall potential comparable to global landmarks such as Dubai Mall and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
