PropEquity and Cambridge University Collaborate to Launch Real Estate School in India
PropEquity, a leading real estate data and analytics platform, has partnered with the University of Cambridge to set up a dedicated real estate school in India. The collaboration brings together PE Analytics Ltd, which operates PropEquity, and Cambridge’s Department of Land Economy.
According to a statement released on Monday, the partnership will support the creation of India’s first structured real estate school, designed to offer specialized education and skill development for the sector. The initiative aims to address the growing need for trained professionals across real estate development, investment, policy, and analytics.
Professor Shailaja Fennell, Deputy Head of the Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge, said the collaboration will expand educational opportunities and help build industry-relevant skills for India’s real estate market.
Samir Jasuja, Founder and CEO of PropEquity, said Cambridge’s academic expertise will guide curriculum design and academic standards. He added that the goal is to build a prestigious Real Estate School and Centre of Excellence covering all major verticals within the real estate ecosystem.
As part of the partnership, the Department of Land Economy will provide curriculum support and technical guidance. The programs will focus on core real estate disciplines while combining academic rigor with practical industry insights.
The collaboration will also explore advanced research opportunities, including the use of artificial intelligence and predictive models to analyze real estate trends. PropEquity is already working on an AI-powered conversational platform for the real estate industry, similar to ChatGPT.
The Department of Land Economy is part of Cambridge’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences and offers education in law, economics, and environmental policy.
PropEquity operates a subscription-based platform that tracks over 180,000 real estate projects by more than 60,000 developers across 50+ Indian cities. The new school is expected to further strengthen India’s real estate knowledge and talent ecosystem.
