Future Expansion Set to Boost Ridership
The upcoming Hinjawadi–Shivajinagar Metro line, scheduled to be operational by March 2026, is projected to further increase ridership and revenue, reinforcing Pune Metro’s status as the backbone of the city’s public transportation network.
“The continuous rise in passengers this year demonstrates that Pune Metro is becoming an integral part of daily commuting, while also helping to ease traffic and reduce travel times,” officials said.
