Pune, 4th June 2026: Vikram Kakade, son of former MP and NCP candidate Sanjay Kakade, has disclosed in his election affidavit that he extended a loan of Rs 10 crore to Jay Pawar, son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. The affidavit, filed along with his nomination papers for the Pune Local Authorities’ Constituency Legislative Council election, shows that Kakade has advanced loans worth Rs 40.94 crore to various individuals and entities, including Jay Pawar, businessman Parvez Grant of Ruby Hall Clinic, and several companies.

The affidavit reveals that Vikram Kakade and his family own movable and immovable assets worth Rs 153.02 crore, while liabilities stand at Rs 40.94 crore. Among his declared assets are residential properties and land parcels in Pune district, along with a luxury villa in Dubai valued at over Rs 7.66 crore.

Kakade has declared cash in hand of Rs 7.5 lakh and movable assets worth Rs 78.95 crore, including bank deposits, shares, bonds, postal savings, and other investments. His immovable assets include two plots in Maval taluka valued at Rs 47.78 crore and Rs 1.29 crore, respectively, as per ready reckoner rates. No candidate withdrew from the race on Wednesday, the first day of the withdrawal process. While former MLA and NCP city chief Sunil Tingre is expected to withdraw his nomination, attention remains on whether BJP district president Pradeep Kand will continue in the fray as a rebel candidate or pull out at the last minute.
