Tragic Death of Woman Lawyer in Road Accident on Pune-Mumbai Highway

A tragic road accident on the old Pune-Mumbai highway near Dapodi Metro station on Friday resulted in the death of a young woman lawyer, Apeksha Thorat, 26. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM when a speeding truck collided with her motorcycle, leading to her immediate death.

Police identified the deceased as Apeksha Thorat, a 26-year-old lawyer. Her father, Ashok Thorat, 55, an ex-serviceman residing in Khandve Nagar, Lohegaon, lodged the first information report (FIR) at the Dapodi police station in Pimpri Chinchwad. The family is in deep shock, and the community is mourning the loss of a promising young professional.

A press release issued by the police on Saturday provided details of the incident. According to the release, Apeksha was on her motorcycle when a speeding truck crashed into her from behind.
