Viral Video Shows Pune Porsche Accused Vishal Agarwal Dancing with Cash Garlands
Fresh public outrage has erupted over the infamous May 2024 Pune Porsche car accident case after a controversial video surfaced on social media, allegedly showing the prime accused and builder Vishal Agarwal celebrating with his family.
Vishal Agarwal, who spent 22 months in custody for his role in the cover-up of the fatal crash caused by his underage son, is seen alongside his family hosting a high-profile celebratory gathering. The visuals show Agarwal and his wife dancing to the classic Bollywood song, “Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost, Dosto Salaam Karo”.
In an exclusive conversation with News18, the family’s lawyers shared a statement denying that the viral video was recent in origin. “This video is from 2023, from their silver wedding anniversary. This is not a recent video at all. People have been giving false information. There has been no party,” shared the lawyers. “There are family members in the video who had gone for the celebration. There has been no new celebration.”
Vishal Agarwal has also issued a statement, noting that several media outlets are falsely claiming that a video of him and his wife, Shivani Vishal Agarwal, shows him celebrating his release from jail. He clarifies that the video is from 2 September 2023, recorded during their 25th wedding anniversary in Goa, long before the FIR filed against him on 19 May 2024.
He says the celebration took place at a hotel in Goa with close friends and family, and the video being circulated now (27/05/26) is being misrepresented to damage his and his family’s reputation. Vishal alleges that media channels published the video without verification and accuses someone of leaking their private family video, violating their right to privacy. He notes that ongoing legal proceedings are already causing stress and that the false narrative is creating further mental trauma.
The Pune Porsche crash case sparked nationwide attention after a luxury Porsche allegedly driven by a minor under the influence of alcohol hit and killed two software engineers, Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa, in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area on May 19, 2024. The case drew public outrage after the Juvenile Justice Board initially granted the teenager bail within hours of the incident with conditions including writing an essay on road safety. Following criticism, the minor was later sent to an observation home while investigations expanded into alleged evidence tampering and procedural lapses.
