Weekly Market Sector Performance: Airlines Soar, Real Estate Plummets

The past week saw significant movements in various market sectors, with the airline sector emerging as the top gainer, rising by 3%. On the other hand, the real estate sector experienced a substantial decline, dropping by 8%. Other sectors, such as non-ferrous metals and consumer products, also showed notable performance.

Airlines (3%) The airline sector was the biggest gainer this week, with Interglobe Aviation Ltd. leading the pack with a 4% increase. However, not all airlines performed well, as SpiceJet Ltd. dropped by 11%, and TAAL Tech Ltd. fell by 4%.

Non-ferrous Metals (2%) The non-ferrous metals sector saw a 2% increase, driven by strong performances from Madhav Copper Ltd. (13%), Hindustan Zinc Ltd. (5%), and Bhagyanagar India Ltd. (2%). Tech Services (-6%) The tech services sector faced a 6% decline, with CE Info Systems Ltd. (-9%), Latent View Analytics Ltd. (-7%), and RateGain Travel Technologies Ltd. (-3%) leading the losses. No companies in this sector reported gains.
