Real Estate Pune:Pune, 26th October 2024 The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has launched a lottery for the remaining 1,337 flats under its Affordable Housing Scheme. The scheme, designed to provide affordable homes to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG), is gaining significant traction. According to the PMRDA website, 1,932 citizens have completed the preliminary registration process for these flats.

The lottery includes 47 flats for the EWS at Peth No. 12 and 614 flats for the LIG in the same location. Additionally, 347 flats are available under the Affordable Housing Scheme at Peth No. 30-32, with 329 more for the LIG category, bringing the total to 1,337 flats.

In the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the EWS flats are 29.55 square meters and priced at ₹15,74,424. The LIG flats at Peth No. 12 measure 59.27 square meters and are priced at ₹35,57,200. Under the Affordable Housing Scheme, the LIG flats at Peth No. 30-32 are 34.57 square meters and cost ₹28,32,208, while the affordable flats are 25.52 square meters and priced at ₹20,90,771.

PMRDA has confirmed that 1,932 citizens have registered for the scheme so far. Of these, 299 have completed their applications, and 218 applicants have paid the deposit amount. The remaining applications are incomplete due to missing documentation, but these citizens have been pre-registered. The deadline for applying for affordable housing is 12th November.

The PMRDA, established to oversee the development of the Pune Metropolitan Region, is committed to providing affordable housing solutions to the city's residents.
