A total of 61 gas cylinders were seized during the operation.
The operation was conducted by the Pune Police, in collaboration with the local administration.
Black marketing of gas cylinders is dangerous because it can lead to safety hazards such as gas leaks and explosions. Unauthorized storage and handling increase the risk of accidents.
The accused is facing charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) Act, including illegal possession, storage, and sale of LPG cylinders without valid authorization.
The public can help prevent black marketing by reporting any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or on the dedicated helpline number. They are also encouraged to purchase gas cylinders only from authorized dealers.
