The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has provided Rs 1527 crore for Phase II of the Nagpur Metro project.
The Nagpur Metro project is managed by MahaMetro, the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited, a joint venture between the Government of Maharashtra and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India.
Key features of Phase II include the extension of existing lines, construction of new stations, incorporation of advanced technology, and implementation of sustainable practices.
Phase II will reduce traffic congestion, contribute to a reduction in air pollution, stimulate economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for residents by providing a comfortable and convenient mode of transportation.
