The Self-Certification Scheme 2025 is a new initiative by the Andhra Pradesh government to simplify and expedite the process of obtaining construction permissions, making it easier and faster for citizens and developers to get the necessary approvals.

The Online Building Permission System (OBPS) allows for the submission of building plan applications, essential documents, fees, and mortgage details. It scrutinizes applications and issues building permissions instantaneously after the payment of necessary fees and charges, operating on a trust basis.
The core objectives of the SCS 2025 include making the building environment safe, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable, while also contributing to economic development by enhancing Ease of Doing Business and fostering an investment-friendly environment.
The SCS 2025 is initially applicable to non-high-rise residential building plan permissions for plot areas up to 4000 sq-mt, including plots in approved layouts, village sites, and Gramakantam areas. It also covers the establishment of white category industries with a site extent of 500 sq-mt or below.
