Real Estate:Listed real estate developer Arkade Developers has made a significant move in the Mumbai real estate market.
On February 12, 2025, the company announced the acquisition of a 6.5-acre land parcel in Dahisar East, which is set to be redeveloped into a luxury residential project.
The project, known as the Anand Nagar Society redevelopment, will cover a plot area of 26,286 square meters and is projected to generate a gross development value (GDV) of ₹1,700 crore.

The total saleable area of the project is approximately 6.76 lakh sq ft.
This acquisition marks a significant milestone for Arkade Developers as it continues to expand its footprint in the Mumbai metropolitan region (MMR) and strengthen its position in the real estate sector.
Dahisar, a fast-growing micro-market on the northern tip of Mumbai, is strategically located near key transport hubs such as Dahisar Station, Anand Nagar Metro Station, and the Western Express Highway.

Amit Jain, the Chairman and Managing Director of Arkade Developers, commented on the opportunity.
He stated, 'The real estate sector is experiencing positive momentum, fueled by the 2025 union budget and its focus on housing and rental market growth.
This favorable environment has spurred Arkade Developers to acquire five new projects this year—four redevelopment and one outright project, strategically located in all prime MMR regions.' Jain also noted that the company has received four occupation certificates (OCs) ahead of the committed Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) schedules.

The project will develop two-, three-, and four-bedroom luxury residences, offering residents a modern and luxurious living experience.
The company is committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable, and innovative housing solutions in line with the growing demand for premium properties in Mumbai.

Redevelopment continues to be a significant trend in Mumbai’s real estate market.
In January 2025, Arkade Developers announced the acquisition of a 4-acre land parcel in Goregaon West, which has been leased to Filmistan Pvt Ltd and has a projected revenue of ₹2,000 crore.
Other major players in the market, such as IPO-bound Kalpataru Limited, have also been active.
Kalpataru recently inked agreements to redevelop two housing societies covering an area of 7.37 acres in the eastern suburb of Chembur and the western suburb of Goregaon, with a revenue potential of ₹2,000 crore.

Real estate developer Mahindra Lifespaces announced on February 3, 2025, that it had secured a ₹950 crore deal to redevelop three housing societies in Mumbai's Lokhandwala and Andheri areas.
Additionally, earlier this month, Raymond Ltd partnered with a landowner to develop a housing project in Mumbai with an estimated revenue potential of ₹1,800 crore.
