Ashiana Housing Secures 8.83 Acres for Senior Living Project in Maharashtra
Ashiana Housing has made a significant move in the senior living segment by acquiring 8.83 acres of land in village Wavarle, Khalapur taluk, Raigad district, Maharashtra. The land was purchased from multiple sellers on an outright basis, though the transaction value and the project’s development timeline have not been disclosed.
The company plans to develop a senior living project with a saleable area of around 4.50 lakh square feet on the acquired land. This project will add to Ashiana Housing’s growing portfolio of age-specific residential developments, which are designed to cater to the unique needs of senior citizens.
Ashiana Housing’s expansion into the senior living segment is driven by several factors, including changing family structures, increasing life expectancy, and a growing preference among older homebuyers for managed, community-based living environments. The proposed project in Raigad district will be developed in line with the company’s existing senior living offerings, which typically include age-friendly design, healthcare support, security, and community amenities.
In addition to the Raigad project, Ashiana Housing has announced a strategic partnership with Epoch Elder Care, a leading provider of assisted living and Dementia care services. Under this partnership, Epoch Elder Care will take over the operational responsibility for Ashiana Care Homes in Bhiwadi, bringing its clinical protocols and person-centred care model to the facility.
Ankur Gupta, Joint Managing Director of Ashiana Housing Ltd, highlighted the evolving nature of assisted living in India. “At Ashiana Care Homes, we offer assisted living solutions designed to provide seniors with a secure and nurturing environment. Our partnership with Epoch Elder Care strengthens our ability to deliver professional, compassionate, and clinically driven care,” he stated.
Neha Sinha, CEO and Co-founder of Epoch Elder Care, emphasized the company’s commitment to creating care environments that combine clinical rigour with a warm, residential setting. “By bringing Epoch’s operational expertise to Ashiana Care Homes, we aim to enable seniors in Bhiwadi to experience an improved quality of life with the assurance of professional, continuous care,” she added.
This strategic move by Ashiana Housing reflects the growing importance of senior living projects in India, a trend that is expected to gain further momentum as the country’s population ages. The partnership with Epoch Elder Care is a significant step towards providing comprehensive and high-quality care for seniors, ensuring that they can enjoy a comfortable and fulfilling lifestyle in their golden years.
Ashiana Housing, a well-known real estate developer, is committed to creating innovative and sustainable living solutions for various segments of the population. The company’s focus on senior living projects is a testament to its adaptability and foresight in addressing the evolving needs of the market. With this new project and partnership, Ashiana Housing is poised to make a significant impact in the senior living sector, enhancing the quality of life for older adults and their families.
