The total value of the ITMS contracts awarded to Ashoka Buildcon is over ₹1,387 crore.
The ITMS projects cover five key traffic circles: Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Konkan and Western Maharashtra, and Marathwada.
The key technologies being used include artificial intelligence, camera analytics, adaptive traffic signal systems, real-time violation detection, and integrated command centres.
The expected benefits include reduced travel time, improved emergency response mechanisms, better route optimisation, and enhanced public safety, particularly for women and vulnerable groups.
The operational window for these ITMS systems post-deployment is 10 years.
