Aurangabad Witnesses Surge in Dussehra Sales: Jewelry, Electronics, Real Estate, and Vehicles
Real Estate Maharashtra:Aurangabad, the historic city in Maharashtra, witnessed a significant surge in sales across different sectors on the occasion of Dussehra. The positive economic atmosphere, fueled by announcements of investments by multinational companies and satisfactory rainfall, has greatly influenced consumer spending. On Saturday, transactions worth crores of rupees were recorded, with a noticeable increase in the electronics, real estate, jewelry, and vehicle markets.

Customers began flocking to the markets in the afternoon after performing their Dussehra puja at home. Despite the high prices of gold, there was a surge in visits to jewelry showrooms, where people, especially women, were seen purchasing gold, silver, and diamond jewelry. The trend of buying branded jewelry was prominent, and sales extended well into the night. The jewellers' association estimated transactions to be around Rs 10 to 12 crore.

In the electronics sector, customers showed a strong inclination towards purchasing electronic gadgets. Big televisions, the latest mobile phones, fridges, air conditioners, washing machines, music systems, and other gadgets were among the top choices. The festive spirit was evident as families and individuals looked to upgrade their home appliances.

The real estate market also saw a significant boost. According to officials from the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), there has been a 35 percent increase in real estate transactions on Dussehra compared to the previous year. This growth is attributed to the positive economic environment and the trust in real estate as a solid investment. Many customers booked flats, bungalows, row houses, and plots in advance, capitalizing on the festive season.

The vehicle market was another area that witnessed a surge in sales. People who had booked their two-wheelers and four-wheelers in advance took delivery on Dussehra. More than 2,000 two-wheelers and around 150 four-wheelers were sold, as reported by showroom owners. The festive mood and positive economic outlook encouraged consumers to make these significant purchases.

Traders and business owners are optimistic that the positive trend will continue until Diwali, another major festive season. The economic activities and consumer spending during Dussehra reflect the growing confidence in the market and the socio-economic benefits of the festive season.
