Gogula Lakshmi Vijaya Kumar, the chairman and managing director of AV Infracon Pvt Ltd, was arrested for the investment scam in Telangana.
The accused allegedly defrauded investors of Rs 8 crore through various fraudulent real estate schemes.
The main schemes included promises of 50% returns on deposits, a buyback scheme where land would be registered in the investor’s name and later bought back, and a pre-launch scheme offering 2BHK flats at low prices with promises of high profits.
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Cyberabad police conducted the investigation and made the arrest. They are now working to trace other accused individuals, recover diverted funds, and return money to the victims.
Potential victims are urged to report their cases and provide any additional information to the police to aid the ongoing investigation.
