Bachchan Father-Son Duo Expands Real Estate Empire with Rs. 100 Crore Investment
Real Estate News:Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan have once again made headlines for their real estate investments. According to Square Yards, the father-son duo has recently acquired properties in Mumbai’s highly sought-after Mulund West locality, adding another milestone to their already impressive portfolio.

Mulund West is a prime residential hub known for its strategic connectivity to both central and western parts of Mumbai. It is renowned for its modern infrastructure and scenic greenery, making it a favorite among affluent buyers and professionals. The newly purchased properties are located in Oberoi Realty’s premium residential project, Eternia, which offers ready-to-move-in 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments.

The Bachchan family has acquired a total of 10 apartments in Eternia, spanning a carpet area of 10,216 sq. ft. Eight of these apartments have a carpet area of 1,049 sq. ft. each, while the remaining two span 912 sq. ft. per unit. Each transaction included two car parking spaces, and the deal incurred a total stamp duty. Notably, Abhishek Bachchan acquired six of these apartments, while Amitabh Bachchan purchased the remaining four.

This latest acquisition adds to the Bachchan duo's already impressive series of property investments. Since 2020, the Bachchan family has accounted for more than a quarter of celebrity real estate transactions in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), amassing approximately 0.19 million sq. ft. of property with a combined investment. In 2024 alone, the Bachchans have invested over Rs. 100 crore in real estate. Their portfolio primarily includes properties in Oshiwara and Magathane (Borivali East), comprising both residential and commercial spaces.

Square Yards, a leading real estate platform, has been instrumental in tracking and documenting the Bachchan family's property transactions. The company has noted that the Bachchans' continued investment in real estate reflects their confidence in the sector and their strategic approach to asset management.

As the real estate market continues to evolve, the Bachchan duo’s latest acquisition in Mulund West underscores their commitment to expanding their empire and securing their legacy in the property market.
