Bengaluru Real Estate Businessman Murdered in Bizarre Crime Involving Black Magic and Rivalry

The murder of a Bengaluru real estate businessman has taken a disturbing turn, with police uncovering claims of black magic, a long-standing professional rivalry, and a carefully planned abduction. The victim, who had once worked with the alleged mastermind before becoming his competitor, was reportedly forced into another vehicle after his car was rammed on a road near Anekal. His body was later found across the state border in Tamil Nadu. Police have so far detained eight people, including two minors, while investigators continue to examine whether suspicion of black magic and business disputes together fueled the crime.

The victim, Gopal, also known as Gopi, was in his late thirties and lived in Honnakalasapura village in Anekal taluk. The discovery was reported by news agency PTI. Police said the alleged mastermind behind the crime, Mohan Babu, had already been arrested earlier in the investigation. During questioning, he reportedly claimed that Gopal had been practicing black magic against him and was responsible for damaging his business and affecting his health. Officers clarified that this claim is still under investigation and has not yet been confirmed.

A senior police officer said that eight suspects were traced to a hideout in Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu. All eight were detained, including two minors. Police are continuing to search for other individuals believed to have been involved in planning the attack. According to investigators, the crime appears to have been carefully planned. On Sunday, Gopal was traveling with his friend Satish from Attibele towards Anekal when their car was intercepted near Karpur Gate. Police said the attackers rammed the vehicle to force it to stop.

The suspects then allegedly sprayed a substance on Gopal and dragged him into another car before fleeing the scene. Satish was also affected by the spray but managed to contact Gopal’s family members, who immediately informed the police. Preliminary investigations suggest that Gopal and Mohan Babu had known each other for more than ten years. Both were originally from Kalasapura village in Chikkamagaluru district in Karnataka.

Police said Gopal had previously worked under Mohan Babu in real estate-related activities, helping with documentation, coordinating with government departments, and identifying potential buyers. However, tensions reportedly developed after Gopal began operating independently in the same business. Investigators believe this professional rivalry may have intensified over time and could be linked to the motive behind the murder. The case is now being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Officers said further details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
