BJP's Haryana Victory to Boost Maharashtra Elections: Shiv Sena
Real Estate Maharashtra:Mumbai The BJP’s victory in Haryana is poised to have a significant positive impact on the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections, stated Shiv Sena minister Shambhuraj Desai on Wednesday, October 9. Expressing confidence, Desai said that the Mahayuti alliance is on track to clinch a victory.

Addressing a press conference alongside Mahayuti leaders and BJP MLC Prasad Lad, the coordinator of the alliance, Desai highlighted that the Mahayuti allies have completed the essential groundwork for the selection of nominees and the sharing of seats. He also announced the appointment of coordinators or ‘Vidhan Sabha Samanvayaks’ from the three parties—Shiv Sena, BJP, and NCP—to oversee all 288 seats. These coordinators have been tasked with working at the booth level to ensure smooth operations.

Desai emphasized, “Haryana polls will impact Maharashtra elections positively.” The BJP won the Haryana polls for a third consecutive term, defeating the Congress in a tight bipolar contest. This victory is seen as a morale booster for the alliance in Maharashtra.

Desai further noted that the chief ministerial candidate for Mahayuti will be decided by the leaders of the three parties Eknath Shinde from Shiv Sena, Devendra Fadnavis from BJP, and Ajit Pawar from NCP. The alliance is taking precautions to prevent any internal conflicts over the distribution of tickets. “After a candidate from a party is declared, other aspirants will be called in to ensure better coordination. In the event of any rebellion, the coordination committee of the Mahayuti parties will address the issue at both district and assembly levels,” Desai explained.

The Mahayuti allies have learned from their setbacks in the Lok Sabha elections and have made necessary changes to prepare for the assembly polls. In the Lok Sabha elections, the INDIA bloc allies—Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and NCP (SP)—won 30 out of 48 seats, restricting the NDA to 17 seats. This performance has driven the Mahayuti alliance to be more strategic and cohesive in their approach to the upcoming assembly elections.

The BJP’s victory in Haryana is seen as a strong indicator of the party’s growing momentum, which could potentially translate into success in Maharashtra. The Mahayuti alliance is optimistic and is leveraging this momentum to bolster their campaign efforts and ensure a comprehensive victory.
