CBI Registers Case Against WCL Foreman for Alleged Bribery

The bribes were allegedly intended to facilitate the mutual transfer of a mining sirdar from the Gondegaon Open Cast Mine and an overman from the Gokul Open Cast Mine, both in the Umred Area of WCL.

The allegations were promptly verified by the CBI on the same day. The verification process revealed that the accused had indeed demanded the bribes as alleged. However, during the course of the verification, the accused public servant reportedly reduced the total bribe amount to ₹40,000 for the requested transfers.
