CIDCO to Auction 30 Plots for Bungalows and Commercial Spaces Near Navi Mumbai Airport
Real Estate:The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), the special planning authority for several parts of Navi Mumbai, has announced that it will conduct an e-auction of 30 leasehold plots near the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA). Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the airport in the coming weeks, marking a significant milestone for the region.

In a notice issued on September 24, CIDCO announced that the e-auction will take place on October 16, with results to be announced the following day. The plots will be leased for residential, commercial, bungalow, and service industry purposes, including storage and warehouse uses.

According to the notice, CIDCO will release a detailed booklet containing information on the exact location of the 30 plots on its website on September 29. The booklet can be purchased from the portal, and applications for the plots can be made on the CIDCO e-auction website, eauction.cidcoindia.com.

CIDCO has planned and developed 14 nodes in Navi Mumbai, including Airoli, Vashi, Nerul, Belapur, Kharghar, Kamothe, New Panvel, Ulwe, and Dronagiri. These nodes were originally allotted on a leasehold basis of 30 years. In July 2025, CIDCO announced that residential plots allotted on a leasehold basis will now be eligible for conversion to freehold. Eligible plot owners can apply for conversion by submitting the required documents and paying the prescribed conversion fees.

The conversion fee will be charged based on the ready reckoner rate of the particular land, with only a certain percentage of the ready reckoner rate required for conversion. This move aims to provide more security and long-term benefits to plot owners.

In addition to the upcoming auction, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to inaugurate the partial phase of the Mumbai Metro-3 corridor in South Mumbai, further enhancing the connectivity and development of the region. The Navi Mumbai International Airport and the Metro-3 corridor are expected to significantly boost the real estate and economic landscape of Navi Mumbai and the surrounding areas.

For more information and to participate in the auction, interested parties can visit the CIDCO website or the e-auction portal. This is a prime opportunity for investors and developers to secure prime real estate in one of the fastest-growing regions in India.
