Comedian Bharti Singh Sells Mumbai Flat for ₹3.75 Crore with 41% Profit

Comedian Bharti Singh has sold her apartment in the Kalpataru Regalia, located in the Goregaon area of Mumbai, for ₹3.75 crore, according to property registration documents obtained by CRE Matrix. The 1,186 sq ft flat was initially purchased by Bharti in 2016 for ₹2.64 crore, making a profit of around ₹1.10 crore, which represents a 41% return over a period of 9 years.

Dhnya Ramakrishna bought the seventh-floor apartment in Kalpataru Regalia, Goregaon West. The official documents reveal that the new owner paid more than ₹22 lakh in stamp duty and ₹30,000 as a registration fee. The sale transaction also included two car-parking slots.

Bharti Singh's sale aligns with a recent trend of expensive real estate deals involving celebrities from the Hindi film industry. Many of these individuals are reorganizing their property portfolios in the luxurious and up-and-coming micro-markets of Mumbai.

She had originally bought the unit from Keystone Realtors (Rustomjee Group) in October 2023 for ₹17.01 crore. Although the selling price is lower, the transaction reflects the industry professionals' need for liquidity or portfolio balance due to changing market conditions.

At the start of the month, Amitabh Bachchan offloaded two neighboring posh apartments in the Goregaon area of Mumbai for ₹12 crore, as per property records obtained from CRE Matrix. The megastar had purchased these units in 2012 for ₹8.12 crore, making a return of almost 47% over 13 years. Additionally, in January 2025, Bachchan sold his Andheri duplex for ₹83 crore, according to documents inspected by SquareYards. The 5,185 sq ft duplex is located in a luxurious tower called The Atlantis.

The high volume of high-value transactions in Mumbai's residential market, particularly in micro-markets like Andheri, Bandra, Goregaon, and Juhu, indicates that the market remains robust. Properties sold by celebrities often become the talk of the town, serving as a barometer for pricing trends and the mood of the luxury housing sector.
