The dispute is over a plot of land on Bapurao Jagtap Marg near Jacob Circle in Agripada, Mumbai. It involves a real estate company and a pharmaceutical company, with the real estate company claiming ownership based on a lower court ruling.
On Saturday night, security guards from the pharmaceutical company allegedly sprayed pepper spray and threw stones at the guards from the real estate company. The situation worsened when one of the bouncers from the pharmaceutical company fired a gun, leading to a police intervention and the arrest of 41 individuals.
The real estate company had previously registered an FIR against the pharmaceutical company officials for refusing to vacate the plot despite a court ruling. The Bombay High Court has imposed a status quo, and an FIR was registered following the recent violent clash.
The 41 individuals arrested in connection with the incident were produced before the court and remanded to police custody for a day. The Agripada police are investigating the case further.
The Agripada police are investigating the incident to determine the full extent of the involvement of both parties. The community hopes for a peaceful resolution, and legal proceedings are ongoing to address the property dispute.
