Real Estate:The Phagwara Police, led by SSP Kapurthala Vatsala Gupta IPS, have taken a significant step in the fight against drugs by seizing the property of a notorious drug smuggler. The accused, Paramjit Singh, also known as Pamma or Doctor, was a resident of Guru Nanak Enclave, Baba Gadhian, Phagwara. An FIR was registered against him in December 2022, at the City police station in Phagwara, after which the authorities initiated proceedings to attach his movable and immovable properties.

The Competent Authority in New Delhi promptly acted on the request, targeting a house registered in the name of Paramjit Singh's wife, worth Rs 36.76 lakh. Additionally, the seized cash of Rs 1.02 crore has been frozen as per the Competent Authority's directive, on May 1, 2024. SSP Gupta has urged people to come forward with information on drug smuggling or smugglers, promising to keep the informant's name confidential.
