Deadly Spree in Mumbai: Speeding BMW Claims Life of Woman in Worli
Real Estate Pune:A devastating hit-and-run accident occurred in Mumbai's Worli area on Sunday, resulting in the death of a woman and leaving her husband critically injured. The couple, hailing from Koliwada in Worli, was returning home from Sassoon Dock after purchasing fish. Tragedy struck when their two-wheeler was hit from behind by a speeding BMW near Atria Mall around 5 30 am. The impact of the collision caused the vehicle to overturn, throwing the couple onto the car's bonnet.

The husband managed to jump off, but his wife, Kaveri Nakwa, was unable to escape due to the heavy load she was carrying. Nakwa was dragged for approximately 100 meters, suffering severe injuries. Both victims were rushed to Nair Hospital, but unfortunately, Nakwa succumbed to her injuries.

The Worli Police have taken the BMW into custody and detained the driver. According to reports, the car is owned by Rajesh Shah, a local Shiv Sena (Shinde) leader in Palghar. The driver and Shah's son, Mihir, are suspected to have been in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Mihir had been drinking at a bar in Juhu and requested the driver to take him for a long drive, eventually taking the wheel himself and causing the fatal accident.

This tragic incident follows another hit-and-run case in Pune, where a 17-year-old, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, hit a motorcycle, killing a young couple. The Pune police are expected to approach the Supreme Court against the Bombay High Court's decision to grant bail to the accused.

In the aftermath of the Worli accident, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray visited the Worli Police station and met with Nakwa's husband, offering condolences and support.
