Real Estate Pune:Pune, 14th July 2025: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis shares a deep emotional bond with Pune and considers the city as close as family, said his wife, Amruta Fadnavis, during a recent event in Pune. She described the city as “a baby” to the Chief Minister and highlighted his special focus on its development.

Speaking at the function, Amruta Fadnavis shared her personal connection with Pune and the issues she discusses with her husband. “Every time I visit Pune, I feel like I’ve come home. My grandmother still lives here, and I feel very close to the people of the city,” she said.

She added that she often gives feedback to Devendra Fadnavis about Pune’s condition. “I tell him what I see and feel when I come here—even if he already knows. I’m glad that he listens and takes my observations seriously,” she remarked.

When asked why the Chief Minister devotes so much attention to Pune, Amruta replied, “Pune is our cultural capital. For him, Pune is like a baby. He considers Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur as his children.”

She acknowledged the city’s challenges, particularly those stemming from rapid urbanization. “There are still many unresolved issues here. The roads and public transport need improvement. Although the metro has brought some relief, a lot more needs to be done,” she said.

Amruta Fadnavis also stated that her husband is unlikely to reduce his visits to Pune anytime soon. “He won’t stop focusing on Pune until every common citizen here feels satisfied with the quality of life,” she said.

The Lakshmibai Dagdusheth Halwai Dattamandir Trust presented the Lakshmibai Memorial Award for the year 2025 in memory of the founder of the temple, Lakshmibai, at a program organized at the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium of Modern College, Chhatrapati Shivajinagar. On this occasion, State Youth Policy Committee Member Dr. Nivedita Ekbote, Shrimant Dagdusheth Ganapati Trust Chairman Sunil Rasne, Dattamandir Trust Chairman Adv. Shivraj Kadam Jahagirdar, Executive Trustee Adv. Rajni Ukarande, Treasurer Yuvraj Gadve, Festival Chief Mahendra Pisal, Deputy Festival Chief Akshay Halwai, Trustee Adv. Pratap Pardeshi, Dr. Parag Kalkar, Sunil Rukari, Rajendra Balkawade, and others were present.
