Ennismore Launches Roswyn: A Luxury Lifestyle Hotel in Mumbai
Ennismore, a luxury lifestyle hospitality brand collective, has made its debut in the Indian market with the launch of Roswyn, a 109-suite luxury lifestyle hotel in Mumbai. This marks the first entry of Ennismore’s Morgans Originals brand into the country and deepens its partnership with Accor in India’s rapidly growing lifestyle hospitality segment.
Located near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Roswyn reflects the rising global interest in India’s premium hospitality and mixed-use real estate market, particularly in business and airport-led micro-markets. The project is a testament to the increasing collaboration between Ennismore and Accor, which holds a majority stake in Ennismore.
Gaurav Bhushan, Chairman of Accor India and CEO of Ennismore, emphasized the changing dynamics of travel and consumption. “People are travelling and consuming differently, and they are buying experiences. We are trying to build spaces and experiences where people feel different luxury experiences. Roswyn sets a benchmark for the luxury travel,” he said. Bhushan further added that lifestyle hospitality is about creating elevated experiences through great design and emotional connections.
Roswyn has been developed by Shrem Airport Hotels and features 109 suites starting at 80 square metres, each equipped with lounge areas, kitchenettes, and dedicated workspaces. The property also includes multiple dining concepts, wellness facilities, and collaborative social spaces aimed at both travellers and local visitors.
Nitan Chhatwal, Managing Director of Shrem Airport Hotels, shared the vision behind the project. “Mumbai moves quickly, but people still look for places where they can slow down, meet, and spend time together. With Roswyn, we wanted to create something that feels easy to return to — whether that’s for dinner, conversations, or simply a pause in the day,” he said. Chhatwal noted that the launch comes as India’s hospitality sector witnesses growing demand for lifestyle-driven hotel formats that combine accommodation with co-working, wellness, and social experiences.
Shrem Group, which has a partnership with Accor India, owns Mumbai’s Fairmont and Novotel hotels, in addition to Roswyn. Industry analysts observe that developers and hotel operators are increasingly moving toward larger-format suites and flexible living concepts as traveller preferences evolve beyond traditional luxury stays.
Louis Abboud, Chief Growth Officer at Ennismore, highlighted India’s strategic importance for the company. “Lifestyle hospitality today is about creating culturally relevant destinations that become part of a city’s everyday rhythm. India is one of the most dynamic hospitality markets globally and an important focus for Ennismore’s growth,” he said.
Ranju Alex, Chief Executive Officer of Accor South Asia, echoed the sentiment. “The opening of Roswyn marks an important milestone in bringing globally relevant, lifestyle-led hospitality to India,” she said. Analysts expect more global lifestyle hotel brands to enter India as operators seek exposure to the country’s growing affluent consumer base and expanding urban travel market.
