Fatal Crash on ORR: Real Estate Businessman Dies, Three Injured in Car-Lorry Collision
A tragic incident occurred on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Tondapalli village in Shamshabad, where a 58-year-old man died and three others were injured in a car-lorry collision. The accident took place around 7:10 AM on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Laxminarayana Rao, was a real estate businessman from Warangal. The three injured were his wife, Hari Kumar, 54, sister-in-law, Sridevi, 47, and a relative, Samyuktha, 25.
According to the Shamshabad police, the accident occurred when the car, driven by Rajesh, 35, attempted to overtake a lorry traveling ahead towards Gachibowli. The driver was allegedly driving at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner, leading to the collision with the rear of the lorry.
Laxminarayana, who was seated in the front passenger seat, sustained severe injuries to his head and neck and died on the spot. The three women, who were seated in the rear, also suffered injuries. Hari Kumari sustained injuries to her head and other parts of her body, Sridevi suffered injuries to both legs, and Samyuktha had minor injuries. The driver also sustained injuries in the crash.
The occupants of the car had started their journey from Warangal at around 4:30 AM and were traveling to Gachibowli. The deceased’s son, Kapilavai Sai Hitesh, 32, received a call from the driver at around 7:25 AM informing him about the accident. Hitesh rushed to the scene and later to a private hospital in Jubilee Hills, where the injured were being treated. Based on the complaint filed by Hitesh, a case was registered against the driver, and further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
This tragic event highlights the importance of road safety and the dangers of reckless driving.
