According to the Shamshabad police, the accident occurred when the car, driven by Rajesh, 35, attempted to overtake a lorry traveling ahead towards Gachibowli. The driver was allegedly driving at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner, leading to the collision with the rear of the lorry.

Laxminarayana, who was seated in the front passenger seat, sustained severe injuries to his head and neck and died on the spot. The three women, who were seated in the rear, also suffered injuries. The deceased’s son, Kapilavai Sai Hitesh, 32, received a call from the driver at around 7:25 AM informing him about the accident. Hitesh rushed to the scene and later to a private hospital in Jubilee Hills, where the injured were being treated. Based on the complaint filed by Hitesh, a case was registered against the driver, and further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
